Chanel - Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010/2011

Chanel - Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010/2011

Chanel as Leo.
The majestic Lion as the centerpiece on the Grand Palais.
The collection of opulence, texture & details.
Designed by Karl  & hand-sewn by the most talented seamstress in the world.
Pieces of great meticulous details that signature Haute Couture...
that's Chanel collection for this season.

Its about the details of embroidery and handwork
beading against rich fabric.
With again rich trimming of fur.
The mood inspired from the old rich socialite wardrobe
I've been repeating the word 'details' so much.
Yes, it all in the details, of the paper pattern  & the finishing end.
Love the collection, it's wearable couture, great length & occasion friendly outfits.
These are my favourite pieces.

Love the footwear! Amazing boots.
Another reason to love this collection because
these boots are made for walking!
If you are not feeling the clothes...
you must love these boots!
They are gorgeous!

Divine Miuccia!
For all the menswear for Spring/Summer 2011,
I love Prada's.

I shall close the mens collections with this.
No more posting about mens!

Love the colours, the oversize silhouette,
Denim! Cotton! Love denim!
Great to see what she has come up with.
Simple accessories.
Clever style up with pouches!
Workable pieces.

Comme des Garcon dark humor not amusing at all

Comme des Garcon
Menswear Spring/Summer 2011

I am a huge fan of Rei Kawakubo.
However, this is too much for me to handle.
From the full skirt which was inspired from the 50's,
(but then again men don't wear skirt back then and now)
the full dresses and especially the skull imagery/prints.

This collection evoked an uneasy feeling for me,
I feel so down and almost depressed which
could categorized me as an 'EMO'.
Maybe thats what Rei wants to project.
Neo-Emo?
Glammed up Skaterboys?
Thats totally doesn't sound right.
Maybe it's a dash of disappointed in my heart.
Nothing else.

Last of Alexander McQueen's mens collection,
he beautified skulls and created it into amazing tapestry and wallpaper.
The collection was amazingly brilliant because of the skulls spectacular visual.
It was signed and sealed, McQueen.
McQueen marked his last menswear(click here if you wish to view)
as if to anyone who could
challenge his creations especially the Skulls.

Rei Kawakubo's skulls?
Could be drawn from the movie 'SCREAM'.

Gone were the days were Comme des Garcon
was truly Avant-Garde and Edgy.
That was in the early 80's and 90's.

John Galliano sending in The Chaplins

Menswear Spring Summer 2011

Galliano has always been about showmanship.
For his Spring/Summer 2011 show expect no less.
This time he send the real man down the runway.
Opening the show, out from a big Ben clock,
Mr Charlie Chaplin. (chuckles)

I knew it was Charlie,
but soon after few models walking down the runway
in their hastily manner, Charlie turns into what looks
like a version of angry Hitler.

I'm all for the show, honestly Fun!
Send in the clowns!
Let's just seat back and enjoy,
no need much brain work here.
You can either laugh or let out an, "EEE!" or
"Ahhhh", the part half naked models walk down
in underwear - The Galliano moment there.

Any who.........
Menswear!
What can I say...it's getting challenging for innovate
new designs?
Perhaps? Perhaps? Perhaps?

Lets the Show begins!
Seriously, it's very entertaining.
